But we live in a society that puts financial means before other people’s lives. I would rather have doctors who really want to save lives, because that is their job. They instead form the real and new goal of, I really went into the medical field, because it pays well. ” When you go up and ask most people in the medical field why they went into the medical field, they would usually answer with the words, “I want to save and help people.” Now that is what the truth was when the doctors and the nurses were kids and when they grew up and learned what money was. Sometimes what I see is that when a patient had flat lined, the nurses and the doctors would just give up and call it a death and say, “Time of death. In reality, doctors would try the same procedure, IV fluid, shock pads in hopes to get the heart beating again, and multiple adrenaline injections. They would always say the same line, “We tried everything we could, but (Insert dead patient’s name here) did not make it.” Now I want to highlight the word, “ We tried everything we could.” To me it means that the doctors to the BEST of their ability tried whatever they had at hand to save the patient’s life. ![]() When a patient dies, the nurses or in the rare case, the doctor, would come out into the lobby and break the news to the patient’s relatives and friends. ![]() It seems as though nothing from the patient’s death had affected them in anyway. Here’s the honest truth about some doctors.Įver since I started working in the emergency room, I’ve grown accustomed to seeing patients coming in and out. Wanna submit something yourself?
